Mitchell Theatres collects very little information through its mobile app and does not use the app to track you. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the Mitchell Theatres app or visit one of our websites.

This policy covers the Mitchell Theatres mobile app, mitchelltheatres.com, and the websites operated for individual Mitchell Theatres locations. Features provided by outside companies are also governed by those companies' privacy policies.
Information Stored by the App
When you select a theatre, the app stores the selected theatre on your device so it can reopen to that theatre the next time you use the app. The app may also store limited display preferences, such as which splash-screen variation was shown most recently.
These preferences remain on your device and are not sent to Mitchell Theatres. You can change your selected theatre within the app. You can remove the locally stored information by deleting the app.
Your Location
If you tap "Use My Location," the app asks for permission to obtain your location one time while you are using the app. The app uses that location to calculate the distance to each Mitchell Theatres location and list the theatres from closest to farthest.
The distance calculations occur on your device. Your location is not saved by the app, sent to Mitchell Theatres, shared with ticketing providers, or used for advertising. The app does not monitor your location continuously or access it in the background.
Location access is optional. You can choose a theatre manually instead. You can deny location access when prompted or revoke it later in your device's Settings.
The app does not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
Movie and Showtime Information
The app connects to Mitchell Theatres servers to retrieve movie information, artwork, announcements, theatre information, and showtimes. When the app makes these requests, our servers may automatically receive ordinary technical information such as your IP address, the requested resource, the date and time of the request, and general device or browser information.
We use this technical information only to deliver content, maintain reliability, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and protect our systems. We do not use it to track you across apps or websites or to create an advertising profile.
Our Theatre Websites
When you visit mitchelltheatres.com or an individual theatre website, our servers may receive the same basic technical information normally sent when a website loads, including your IP address, browser type, requested page, and request date and time.
We use this information to provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure our websites. We do not sell this information or use it for cross-site advertising.
External Links and Services
The app and our websites may open external services for ticket purchases, gift cards, movie trailers, directions, or other theatre information. When you open an external service, that provider may receive information directly from your device according to its own privacy policy.
Buying Tickets and Gift Cards
Ticket and gift-card purchases are completed through secure checkout pages operated by our ticketing providers, including Veezi and, in some cases, Fandango. Payment information is entered directly into the provider's checkout service. Mitchell Theatres does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Mitchell Theatres may receive limited order information, such as your name, email address, theatre, performance, items purchased, and transaction status, when reasonably necessary to complete the transaction, provide customer service, maintain business records, or resolve a problem with an order.

Email Newsletter
If you voluntarily subscribe to a theatre newsletter, we use your email address to send showtimes, theatre news, and related announcements. You can unsubscribe by using any unsubscribe instructions included in the message or by contacting us at the address below.
Newsletter forms may use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. When reCAPTCHA is used, Google may process technical information about your device and interaction with the form under Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose limited information:
- To service providers when necessary to operate our websites, deliver newsletters, or support an order;
- To ticketing providers when necessary to complete or support a transaction;
- To protect the security, rights, or property of Mitchell Theatres, our customers, or others; or
- When required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request.
Service providers processing information on our behalf are required to use appropriate safeguards and to protect that information consistently with this policy and applicable law. Third-party services that you visit or use directly are governed by their own privacy policies.
Retention and Security
Information stored locally by the app remains on your device until you change it, clear it, or delete the app.
Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Order information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to complete and support the order, satisfy legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain ordinary business records.
Our websites use encrypted HTTPS connections. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, although no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Our websites are hosted by GoDaddy using cPanel. Web-server logs may contain technical information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and the date and time of a request. Archived web-server logs are retained for up to 30 days and are then automatically deleted. We use these records only for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and operation of our services.
Children
Our app and websites are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Your Choices
You may:
- Deny or revoke location permission through your device's Settings;
- Change your selected theatre within the app;
- Delete locally stored app information by deleting the app;
- Unsubscribe from theatre newsletters; and
- Ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that Mitchell Theatres maintains about you.
Because the app itself does not collect personal information, most access or deletion requests will relate to a newsletter subscription, customer-service communication, or ticket order. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We may retain information when required by law or for legitimate recordkeeping purposes.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our app, websites, providers, or privacy practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date shown at the top. If the app begins collecting or using information in a materially different way, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent required by law.
